Bezoek Kos-stad, Asklepion en Zia was leuk. Fijn dat er wat vrije tijd was in Kos-stad. Asklepion interessant maar vermoeiend vanwege de hitte. Zia op eigen gelegenheid zien was leuk, en tijdsduur was prima. Minpuntjes waren dat de buschauffeur alleen Grieks sprak waardoor aanvankelijk niet duidelijk dat dit onze bus was. Verder werkte de airco op de terugweg niet of nauwelijks. Gezien de taalbarriere onmogelijk om de chauffeur ernaar te vragen en de 2 gidsen hadden de bus al verlaten.

Kos town is dripping in history, with monuments from classical antiquity all the way through the Byzantine and Ottoman periods to the rationalism of the 1930s. You'll navigate the streets that lead you through the photogenic town with your guide and soak up its melting pot of architecture and sights during an informative walk.
Then, we'll head to the ruins of Asclepeion, at the top of a pine-clad hill boasting views over Kos town and Turkey beyond. Your guide will fill you in on this 2,500-year-old ‘temple of healing' and then you'll have time to wander around on your own before driving to Zia. Here, you'll have free time to visit the petting farm, browse the shops or nurse a cool drink in a taverna.
