Il museo aprì i suoi spazi all'Impressionismo nel 1940, quando divenne sede dell'iconica Impressione di Monet, Levar del Sole . Nel 1966, divenne erede universale di Claude Monet, ereditando sia la casa di Giverny sia le opere rimaste in famiglia.

Ammirate oltre cento tele che ripercorrono la carriera dell'artista, capolavori della sua giovinezza e maturità, e anche le tele monumentali raffiguranti le ninfee e il giardino di Giverny. Mai esposte durante la vita dell'artista, queste opere furono esposte per la prima volta al loro ingresso nel Museo!

Il museo è aperto dal martedì alla domenica, dalle 10:00 alle 18:00 (fino alle 21:00 il giovedì). Ultimo ingresso un'ora prima della chiusura. Chiuso il 1° maggio, il 25 dicembre e il 1° gennaio.
Ingresso ridotto (da acquistare direttamente al museo) per visitatori sotto i 18 anni, studenti sotto i 25 anni, insegnanti, disoccupati, beneficiari RSA, soci della Maison des Artistes e accompagnatore di un visitatore con disabilità

It was so quiet, as the artist intended, to promote contemplation. It was the best experience of my time in Paris. Monet, comfort, and ease. If you go nowhere else, go here. You won't regret it.

J’ai pu prendre mon billet alors que j’étais dans la queue qui n’était pas très importante mais j’ai gagné au moins 1/2h entre l’entrée et la queue pour prendre les billets une fois entré!
